Lifespan Human Development--FHS1500-042
Lifespan of Human Development is a course that explains the physical, cognitive, social, and emtional stages of life from birth until death. I was interested in taking this course because I wanted to learn mostly about the development of children so it would further help me to gain knowledge for my BS in Elementary Education. I ended up enjoying learning about all of the other stages of life as well. I am displaying my final project paper and within this paper we were to explain all of the events in our lives that lead us to where we are in life now and how they have affected us. Another thing we were to do within the paper was to also explain how this relates to what we have learned within this class.

Reflection
I will admit that this assignment was a little hard for me to put down in writing and to display for others to see the major events in my life that have lead me to do some of the things that I have done, where I am currently at in life, and where I am going. I picked to showcase this assignment because this final project has helped me connect the bad and good things that have happened in my life and what lead me to do certain things that I may not be so happy or proud of. I definitely had to overcome some of the bad things that have happened in my life before I could showcase it to other people. To this day I still have a hard time with some of the things that have happened in my life and some of the decisions that I have made in my life as well. I never realized just how much that what happens to you as a child or teenager can affect many of the decisions that you end up making.
This assignment has made me grow to realize that some of the decisions I made as a teenager were stemmed from certain things that happened to me during my childhood. However, I do still take full responsibility for the decisions I have made in my life as well. I am working on turning some of the bad decisions I have made in my life to good decisions such as going to school to get a higher education. To be honest, if you would have asked me even 5-7 years ago I never thought I would be here, attending college, making myself a better person.
This class and this assignment has also helped me realize just how much what I do as a parent will affect my two daughters and how much of a better parent I want to be because of what I have learned. I also will use what I have learned from this assignment and from this class to apply to my career as an elementary school teacher and I am very grateful for what I have learned to help me along the way.
